About Pennsville Township

Pennsville Township traces its municipal history to Lower Penns Neck Township, formed in 1721 and incorporated as one of New Jersey's original townships in 1798. Voters approved the Pennsville Township name in 1965. Today the township combines established neighborhoods, the Broadway commercial corridor, Deepwater's bridge/highway area and extensive Delaware River marshland.
